Today sees the start of the brand new Anything Goes Challenge #13 at Art by Mi Ran.  Head over to see all of the fabulous projects from the DT Ladies

This time I've used the beautiful Sweet Claire and I've made a 3D present and bag for my Daughters friend.  My Daughter picked the image out with me as she said it looked like her friend :)

I've coloured her with my Spectrum Noirs and attached her to the letter.

It's a paper mache 'J' that I've covered with papers from my stash......

And prettied up with some flowers and gems from my stash and dies from Marrianne, Tattered Lace and Memory Box.  I've used lovely bright summery colours on this set and made a gift bag to match using the same paper, some ribbon and a bow :)

Crafty Sentiments Designs new release

Today sees the start of a new release from Crafty Sentiments Designs, with a brand new set of stamps available from 23rd August.......

The Fabulous DT Ladies will be posting their creations here over the next two days :)

I was given the adorably cute 'Scruff - Lots of Tulips' and this is what I made.......

I've had a page saved in my favourites for a while (here) and have used the template twice now.  It should be a tealight holder but with those darling tulips on the stamp I thought I would use it to send flower/veg seeds packets......Over here in the UK it's a perfect Autumn bulb for planting that will blossom in the Spring.

I've coloured 'Scruff' with my spectrum noirs with a dotting method (colouring over the edges) for texture and cut him out with an xcut die.

I've used Forget-me-not papers from Dovecraft ........

Kraft card as the base.....

And prettied it up with a few bits and pieces from my stash.  The box on the right will hold the seed packets and the tag pocket on the left holds a tag with a sentiment for the recipient

I have a project to share from Crafty Sentiments Designs today.  The challenge is 'Back to School'.  Head over to the blog to enter your makes and get some inspiration from the very talented DT Ladies.

When I saw that this was the new challenge the perfect stamp for me was 'Skip Skip' maybe because all three of my children were at primary school when I made it and my Daughters often skip to school holding hands.

With my daughters in mind, I've used the image to make a lunch bag.  Just the thing that everyone needs for a busy day at school.

I coloured the image using spectrum noirs, and added my own sentiment.  I cut it out using an xcut circle die and layered it with card and papers from my stash onto the bag.  I've used dies from Marrianne and Tattered Lace amongst the flowers and finished everything off with a few gems

2 Cute Ink Colour Challenge #112 -Red/Orange/Blue

Today sees a new challenge from 2 Cute Ink and another set of newly released images from Heidi which are available in the store today.  This time they are an adorable set of Pirate Animals pop over to the challenge blog to see the fabulous makes from the talented DT Ladies

I was assigned Pirate Animals Bear and made this darling little card for my cousins little boy who was 3 years old earlier this month

 

 

 

I've coloured my little Pirate Bear with spectrum noirs and used an xcut die to cut a circle.  I've used Sizzix and xcut dies for the banner, name and age badge.

I was lucky enough to have Girlz - Wiggle the Bait for my project with a fantastic sentiment.  Over here in Blighty we call food 'Bait' (among other things) so I've made a Bait bag.

Aug 12 TT #208 My Grafico Sketch Team A

Happy Tuesday to you all.  It's time for another challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown.  This week our sponsor is My Grafico and we are following a sketch made by the lovely Judith :)

Firstly this is the sketch:

And this is my interpretation of it using Owl 6:

The owl and the die, creates the two circles.  The branch creates the middle stripe and the two embossed panels create the top and bottom stripes.  Hope you like my take on the sketch :)

My Grafico very kindly provided the team with images from Owl Digital Stamps, and I chose Owl 6.  I printed it several times and cut each layer of the feathers out so that I could emboss them in different colours.

I used gold and copper embossing powders on each layer of the feathers which I then heat embossed.  I then layered them back over the owl.  To get a clean fit I made slits down each wing and tucked the ends of the feathers in. 

I've coloured the rest of the image with spectrum noir markers and sat the Owl on a die from Tonic to look like a branch.  This is for one of my daughters besties who absolutely adores owls so I've put it into a box frame and added a few flowers to finish it off.

Challenge #12 Lunar Deity - Art by Mi Ran

It's Friday and time for another challenge over at the Art by Mi Ran blog.  I can finally and officially (and rather excitedly) announce that I'm part of the DT and this is my very first project for the team.  Head over to the blog to enter your projects in challenge #12, the theme as always is anything goes

For this project I have chosen to work with Lunar Deity.  After colouring an Art by Mi Ran image in black and white a few months ago (view it here) I wanted to do another and thought Lunar would be perfect

I coloured her with my grey scale spectrum noir markers, coloured the moon in yellow tones and added some gold embossing to the stars.  I've made a very simple twisted easel card and prettied it up with dies from................

The candle was a bit of a challenge as I wanted the to be strong enough to carry the heavy candle, so I've doubled the black card and used gold inside it to give layers.  I've used a die from .......... to pretty up the sides.........

And made my own paper roses for the top of the box which I have gold embossed just around the top, and layered onto die cuts from spellbinders and xcut

I've used Rose Fairy from the Lollipop Dreams collection of stamps .................. with a sentiment from one of the stamp sets, Birthday set 1.  I chose the sentiment to match that lovely dreamy expression on her face :)

2 Cute Ink Challenge #112 - Animals

Exciting news again today!  Firstly if you haven't seen my earlier DT post it's my birthday today :) and my exciting news is that I've just become one of the newest members on the 2 Cute Ink DT

This week Heidi has released 6 new Horse themed digi's, Hippie Horses, Nerdy Horses and Country Horses.  I got to work with a Nerdy Horse which I absolutely adore, but would have been happy with any of them, they are all so cute!

I coloured my Nerdy Horse with spectrum noirs, added 2 flowers and decided that she needed a frame.  I made the frame out of a piece of A3 card and matted the image onto red, and then kraft card.  Added a few red pearls, covered it in acetate to look like glass and added a few flowers on the frame.

SDD Sun, Sea, Sand challenge

Good Morning to you all I'm here with another make for Stamping Dragon Designs

I've used Steampunk Lady on Globe this time and loved colouring her, especially that boa!  I can just imagine this Lady floating off in her hot air balloon to find a white sandy beach.  I coloured the balloon to make it look like a beach ball for fun on the beach

I've used steampunk dies from Cheery Lynn to surround this beauty that I've cut out of various cardstock and embossed a few with gold embossing powders from Papermania.  My favourite has to be the quills and ink well
